Pre-Activation - DC24.10.05.14.22
This piece (and others in this "DC24" Series) is the result of the privilege I was afforded in joining eight dedicated women from the Starhouse organization in Boulder, Colorado on their 2024 journey to Washington, DC for their annual “Sacred Earth Activation;” the opportunity presented itself as I was taking one of the Starhouse courses called “Goddess In America.” I was amazed to realize the part goddesses and mythology played in the establishment of our infant nation; our forefathers had intentionally planned for their oversight of our affairs.
Know, right up front, that I am extremely selective in what metaphysical studies I choose to engage in, however this particular one seemed to have been making itself known to me for some time. At the same time, though, when I do connect with new concepts within any of my studies that have called to me, I forego any in-depth commitment to the overall organizational body surrounding the information I garner; knowing first and foremost, I AM an artist, and my life has been committed to the practice of channeling the Reiki energy. By staying focused on this foundation from whence I am coming to any new information, I inherently direct this life force energy to each contributing organizations’ growth; Starhouse is well deserving of such recognition.
The Starhouse women and I spent from September 29th through October 5th preparing for the final energy ritual on Friday by visiting the different locations within the Capitol District where the divine feminine presence was intentionally placed in clear sight for all to see. The layout itself of the National Mall bears witness to a metaphysical practice by virtue of its sacred geometric design. Central to this North/South – East/West mapping is the Washington Monument strategically located amongst all else; there is where our spreading of universal healing energies began on Monday morning, bright and early. Here we collectively offered our contribution to the annual effort to reinvigorate the mythology at the heart of our nation’s origins. In the following days we visited and energized the White House, the Jefferson Memorial, the Capitol building and both chambers of Congress, the Supreme Court Chambers, the Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Memorial, and the Congressional Library. Our forefathers were very thorough in dictating the mythological architectures of each building.
As part of the preparational “Goddess In America” training, I chose water as my element, and from Celtic Wisdom the direction west is relative to water, and the Lincoln Memorial is to the west of center, and the Goddess of Peace was my chosen Archtype. The Peace statue is located to the west of the Capitol building, facing east toward it, and is one Goddess of the four on that fountain monument; the other three Goddesses are Grief and History above Peace and facing the Capitol, along with Victory on the opposite side of the monument facing west. The Goddess of Peace monument was dedicated without ceremony in 1877 and is one of the most neglected fixtures within the National Mall area. A dove has been missing from her hand since when, no one knows, and her right arm had been broken off, but was repaired with a discolored forearm. In obvious disrepair after numerous attempts to preserve the marble figurine, I see this as the one place the nation needs to place its focus; strategically as well as figuratively.
